"About three years ago, when my husband and I started our garden
P.P.& W. Railroad, we naively thought it would be a nice little hobby. Okay, stop
laughing, I'll wait. As you all know, this is really less a hobby and more of an addiction,
albeit a wonderful one, indeed. Coffee is our other drug of choice. So, in our innocence, we
planned for a small water feature, and then we talked to the pros. Now we have two ponds, a
waterfall, two streams, and Koi that my gardener has informed me are 'eatin' size! "Since I write about the West, naturally our first layout is
Western, about the 1870's. We have a cattle drive, complete with chuck wagon, a shoot-out,
naughty saloon ladies, (there's an oxymoron!). We have a working sawmill, and a period
two-masted ship off-loading supplies. We have a very unique storage system for our trains
that you just have to see." |
